Overview

Curanten is a health and wellbeing destination developed by Atrium Ljungberg. I designed a scalable wayfinding system that translated the building's services into a clear visual language, balancing functionality with an identity inspired by the site's industrial character.

Challenge

The challenge was to create an intuitive wayfinding system that could communicate a wide range of services while remaining visually consistent with an existing identity I developed for a neighbouring building. The solution needed to feel immediately recognisable, work across both physical and digital touchpoints, and complement Curanten's industrial architecture.

Solution

Drawing inspiration from Bauhaus principles and brutalist wayfinding, I developed a modular grid system and designed 16 pictograms with consistent construction rules for use across physical and digital environments. I also created motion assets, delivering a cohesive visual system that is clear, scalable, and easy to extend.
